RECIPE: How to Make Prime Rib
We’re back with another episode of Cooking in the Kitchen with Cat & Nat and this time Nat’s making a one-pot wonder for her family of six!
Check out the video for step-by-step instructions on how to make a roast beef with a side of cheesy potatoes and roasted carrots & onion. This is a super easy home cooked meal because all you really have to do is just stick everything in the oven!
INGREDIENTS
Prime Rib
Potatoes
Carrots
Onions
Salt & Pepper
Mozzarella cheese
Butter
DIRECTIONS
Pat the prime rib dry and leave it at room temperature for 3 hours.
Rub the prime rib in salt and pepper and place it in a roasting pan with the fat side facing upward.
Put it in the oven at 500 degrees for just 15-20 minutes.
Take the prime rib out of the oven, lower the temperature to 325 degrees, add the carrots and onions to the bottom of the pan underneath the meat and place everything back in the oven to roast and caramelize. FYI - you can add the potatoes to the pan too, but Nat decided to cook them separately to avoid over-crowding. She layered the potatoes with mozzarella cheese and cooked them before broiling the top of the dish.
