Off The Rails with The Scummy Mummies
The tables have turned once again! Today we're bringing you our interview with The Scummy Mummies where we may have had a bit more cocktails than conversation (and a whole lot of laughs) 😜 We like to think of this hilarious duo as our British cousins who rock their trademark gold bodysuits and bright lipstick! Our conversation may have gone off the rails but sometimes, good old-fashioned girl talk with strong drinks is just what a mom needs! Scroll down to listen as we dish on date-night sex and parenting failures, and we practise our English accent. We also exchange sex tips, 'cause every girl needs them!

KEY TAKEAWAYS:
How do you really know when you're a comedian? Or a performer? A writer? You fill in the blank. That's a tough one to answer but Ellie and Helen say it's when you're getting paid for your work, or when you've done 100 gigs. Maybe it's neither of those but either way you know when you've finally nailed it and what you're doing is a well-oiled machine. Too bad that can't really apply to motherhood! Just when you think you've figured it out, the kids enter a new phase.
What happens when a joke bombs? As moms who tour, anytime you take the stage you risk your jokes going south. Jokes Ellie and Helen thought were hilarious often fell flat and other jokes flew when they least expected it. When it comes to comedy, as with life, sometimes you don't know what will work and what will sink.
Ask a mom to stand up and share a parenting failure and you'll likely get crickets but give a mom paper and a pen (and anonymity) and you'll end up with some amazing confessions! The Scummy Mummies always include these moments of honesty because it helps all moms feel normal. None of us are perfect. None of us are getting it all right, all the time. When they read these revealing "failures," they get cheers and claps from their audience because as moms we've all been there.
