RECIPE: Spicy Bloody Caesar

IMG_6905.jpg

Nat made one of her go-to drinks yesterday to end the weekend on a high note and it just so happens to be a WW Canada recipe - the good ol’ Canadian spicy vodka caesar. If y’all haven’t tried a caesar (or a “Bloody Mary” as our American friends call it) you HAVE to try this recipe !! It’s the perfect cocktail to have at literally any time of the day - and you better believe we’re wanting to drink a little earlier these days because #COVID19problems 🤣 🍹 Seriously, we did a whole #MOMTRUTH about the reasons mommy drinks in quarantine. You can watch it here.

Nat quickly mixed the ingredients together in one glass last night, but the WW recipe below makes an entire pitcher that serves four and takes about 10 minutes to make! So you can use this recipe when you want to make a larger portion and keep re-filling your cup or when you’re finally let out of lockdown and can enjoy a glass with a few friends. It’s honestly such a tasty bevvy for patio season 👌🏼

If you’re on WW Canada like us, then you’ll want to know that this cocktail is valued at 6 SmartPoints® per serving for green, blue and purple. Check out the recipe below and enjoy!!

INGREDIENTS

1 tbsp celery salt (in a bowl)

20 fl oz clam-tomato juice

½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

¼ tsp Asian hot sauce

¼ pinch ground, black pepper

4 ribs uncooked celery - medium sized

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

6 fl oz vodka

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Dip the rims of four tall glasses into lemon juice and then celery salt (FYI - Nitty is an aficionado and has her own special caesar rimmer). Add ice to glasses.

  2. Transfer any remaining lemon juice to a large pitcher and add clam-tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (Nat’s a spicy lady so she added lots of tabasco sauce) and black pepper. Stir to combine.

  3. Pour mixture into glasses and garnish with celery stalks (or a spicy bean or a lemon slice or a cucumber wheel…or all three like Nat did lol) .

  4. CHEERS!
