PODCAST: What Fuels You?
Our conversations fluctuate based on how we're feeling in the moment (and also how drunk we are). We're still working but we miss the spontaneity of our business the way it was before lockdown. We were about to sign our dream offer but it all came to a halt when COVID-19 hit. So we let you in on some business talk and we also share what fuels us, how we're functioning in isolation and how we're grieving for our community around us. We also talk about why women supporting women is so important and it's something we've been teaching our daughters to do from a very young age.
TOP QUOTES FROM THIS EPISODE:
Through this current situation I have learned what fuels me and that is opportunity and the ability to move around. Being grounded and halted really opened my eyes. I don't know why I was so overwhelmed by how good our life was the week before we got grounded.
During this time people will realize what fuels them and will realize more about themselves. Maybe being at home is something that you crave or maybe it’s not.
Women who support women don't raise girls who don't support girls - and that's facts. If I continue to raise my daughter the way I have (she does not have a jealous bone in her body right now), it will probably be one of my more proud accomplishments.
The advice we’d give to our kids (or anyone really) on how to deal with drama is: don’t indulge. Don't give them the negative attention that they are looking for. Ignore it. Carry on. And lead with positivity.
